How Jcurzez works

As of today, there are three different versions:

a pure Java, ansi-based implementation. This version should run on many different platforms. So far, it was only tested under linux and win9X.
This version uses ansi escape sequences that are sent to the terminal which in turn translates these sequences and produces the expected result.
an implementation using native calls to ncurses. It relies mainly on mvaddch(3X), move(3X) and refresh(3X).
an implementation for win9X that uses native calls to Win32 API. Uses SetConsoleCursorPosition, WriteConsoleOutputAttribute and WriteConsoleOutputCharacter.

These three implementations implement a peer component: ScreenPeer. This is an interface with a few methods (10, to be precise). This is the only thing that needs to be implemented, the other classes rely on this interface. (If you're interested in the source code, see the file AbstractWindow.java).
